Quellen & Standards

This page explains the sourcing standards and editorial processes that underpin every article we publish at Stadtlogik. It is designed to show you exactly how we gather, verify and correct information, and to give you clear ways to challenge our reporting if you believe something is wrong. You can use this page as a reference whenever you read our journalism—it is our promise of transparency.

What do we rely on day to day?

Every day, our editorial team relies on a set of clear sourcing rules, expert verification and transparent correction processes to ensure what we publish is trustworthy. We do not speculate or publish unverified claims.

Our reporters, including Politikredaktör Jonas Winkler and Wirtschaftreporter Eva Martin, build stories from primary sources such as official government documents, public records, direct interviews with named individuals, and data from authoritative institutions like Statistics Sweden and the Riksdag. Each article is drafted by a named writer, reviewed by an editor and fact‑checked by our fact‑checking team led by Daniela Sauer before publication. Our editorial policy and fact‑checking policy set out these procedures in detail. We also use AI‑assisted tools for research or drafting, but no automated content is ever published without human editorial approval, as outlined in our AI and automation policy.

How to challenge our reporting

If you believe we have made a mistake or missed important context, you can submit a complaint directly to our corrections team, who will investigate and respond promptly. We take every challenge seriously and will publish a correction or clarification if warranted.

To report an error, email our Ansvarig för faktagranskning, Daniela Sauer, at emma.sandberg@stadtlogik.de or use the general corrections address corrections@stadtlogik.de. You can also use our complaints procedure page for more complex issues. Our corrections policy explains how and when we update articles. If you have a news tip that you believe we should investigate, please use our Tip Us page or email tips@stadtlogik.de. All contact details are also listed on our Contact page.

How does this work in practice?

Let us walk through a concrete example. Suppose our Politikredaktör Jonas Winkler is reporting on a new government proposal for housing policy. He begins by reading the official bill published on the Riksdagen website, then interviews two opposition MPs and one minister by phone. He also downloads housing‑price data from Statistics Sweden. After drafting the article, he adds hyperlinks to the original bill and the data source. The piece is then passed to our Redaktionschef Katrin Kaiser for headline review and structural feedback. From there it goes to Daniela Sauer’s fact‑checking team, who verify every numerical claim and quote against the original sources. Only after Daniela signs off does the article go to Chefredaktör Simon Schwarz for final approval. If a reader later points out that a figure was misstated, we would promptly issue a correction, add an editor’s note at the bottom of the article, and update our corrections log. This process applies to all content—news, analysis, culture, and sponsored material alike.
