How do I report an error?

If you believe you have found a mistake in any article on Stadtlogik, please send the details to our dedicated corrections team at corrections@stadtlogik.de.

Include the full URL of the article, a clear description of what you think is wrong, and – if possible – any supporting source or evidence. You can also use the same address for factual queries or missing context. We read every submission and treat them as a vital part of our commitment to trustworthy journalism.

What happens after you report an error?

Your report is handled by our standards desk under Daniela Sauer, who is responsible for fact‑checking, source verification and corrections (emma.sandberg@stadtlogik.de).

She will assess the claim against our editorial records and sources. If the error is confirmed as a material mistake – one that changes the meaning or accuracy of the reporting – we will update the article and add a clear correction note at the top or bottom of the piece, explaining what was changed and why. Minor typos or formatting issues are corrected without a note but still logged internally.

All corrections are reviewed by the Chefredaktör Simon Schwarz (anders.lindqvist@stadtlogik.de) before publication. If you are dissatisfied with the initial response, you can escalate directly to him. Our full complaints procedure is outlined at /complaints-procedure/.

How quickly will a correction be applied?

We aim to respond to every correction request within two working days and to apply confirmed corrections within 24 hours of that response.

If the error is time‑sensitive or significantly misleading, we may issue an immediate correction and publish a brief note to alert readers. In complex cases requiring additional research, we will let you know the expected timeline. Our commitment is to transparency, not speed at the expense of accuracy – so we take the time needed to get it right.

How this works in practice

Imagine an article about a Swedish government budget proposal that states the education allocation increased by 3 %. A reader notices the correct figure is 2.5 % and writes to corrections@stadtlogik.de.

Daniela Sauer reviews the source transcript, confirms the error, and coordinates with the original writer and Katrin Kaiser (Redaktionschef) to update the article. A correction note is added: “Correction 14 June 2025: An earlier version of this article stated the education budget rose by 3 %. The correct increase is 2.5 %. We have amended the text accordingly.” The change is logged and signed off by Simon Schwarz. The same note is sent to readers who subscribed to article updates, and the correction is referenced in our weekly accuracy report.

Who is responsible for corrections?

Ultimate editorial responsibility lies with Simon Schwarz, but day‑to‑day oversight is led by Daniela Sauer, our Ansvarig för faktagranskning.

She works with the entire newsroom – including Jonas Winkler (Politikredaktör), Eva Martin (Wirtschaftreporter), David Schreiber (Kultur- och samhällsredaktör) and others – to ensure all corrections are handled consistently and fairly. Our editorial standards are set out in our Editorial Policy and our Fact‑Checking Policy. Stadtlogik is owned and operated by Stadtlogik Media Ltd., a private company registered in Gibraltar (company number C 92009, Malta Business Registry), with registered office at Office 9, Business Centre, Valletta, 0000. More about our funding and ownership can be found at /ownership-funding/.

In short

Every correction we make is a chance to strengthen your trust in our journalism. We invite you to help us maintain accuracy by reporting any error you spot, and we promise to handle your report promptly, transparently and with the same editorial rigour we apply to every article.
