Eigentum & Finanzierung

This page explains how Stadtlogik is owned and funded, and what that means for you as a reader. Understanding our ownership structure and funding model helps you judge the independence and reliability of our journalism. We want you to feel confident that our news is produced with integrity, not influenced by outside interests.

What does this mean for you as a reader?

Our ownership and funding model is designed to ensure that editorial decisions are never influenced by commercial or political interests. As a reader, you can trust that our journalism is independent, transparent, and accountable. We clearly label sponsored content and disclose affiliate links so you can always distinguish editorial material from commercial material.

Stadtlogik is published by a private company with a single purpose: to deliver trustworthy Swedish news to readers in Sweden and internationally. We do not answer to any political party, industry lobby, or government agency. Our editorial independence is guaranteed by our governance structure, which places ultimate responsibility with our Chefredaktör, Simon Schwarz. He is accountable for every article, correction, and publication decision. You can meet the full team on our Our Team page.

How does Stadtlogik fund its journalism?

Stadtlogik is funded through a mix of display advertising, affiliate links, commercial partnerships, sponsored content, newsletter sponsorships, and content licensing. We never allow commercial relationships to determine editorial conclusions. Every funding stream is managed separately from the newsroom.

Display advertising appears alongside our articles and is served by third‑party networks. Affiliate links may be included in some articles; when you click one and make a purchase, we earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. These links are always disclosed. Commercial partnerships involve brands or organisations paying for placement, but all such content is clearly labelled as “sponsored” or “partner content”. Our newsletter may include sponsorships, which are also disclosed. Content licensing means we may sell the right to republish our articles to other outlets, but we retain editorial control over the original material. For full details, see our Advertising & Affiliate Disclosure and Sponsored Content Policy.

How this works in practice

Let’s take a concrete example. Suppose a Swedish energy company sponsors a series of articles about the transition to renewable electricity. The articles are labelled “Sponsored content – brought to you by X Energi” at the top and bottom. Our journalist writes the piece independently; the sponsor cannot approve, edit, or veto any part of it. If the article includes a link to the company’s website, that link is marked as an affiliate link, and the disclosure states that Stadtlogik may receive a commission if a reader signs up. The editorial team’s analysis remains entirely separate from the commercial arrangement. This same approach applies to all sponsored and affiliate content we publish.

Who owns and operates Stadtlogik?

Stadtlogik is owned by Nordklar Media Ltd, a private company registered in Gibraltar with company number C 92009. Its registered office is at Office 9, Business Centre, Valletta, 0000, Malta. Editorial independence is guaranteed by our governance structure, with Chefredaktör Simon Schwarz ultimately accountable for all content.

The company is privately held and does not receive funding from any government, political party, or partisan organisation. Nordklar Media Ltd has no shareholders or investors who can influence editorial policy. All editorial decisions are made by the journalistic team under the leadership of Chefredaktör Simon Schwarz, who reports only to the company’s board on operational matters, never on content. For a full list of our editors and reporters, visit our Our Team page.
