Urheberrecht & Entfernung

This page explains how we handle copyright and takedown requests at Stadtlogik. If you believe your work has been used without permission, you will find clear steps to report it and understand what happens next. We take intellectual property rights seriously and act quickly to resolve any concern.

What does this policy mean for you?

If you are a copyright holder and believe Stadtlogik has used your material without authorisation, this policy outlines your rights and the steps to request removal. We respect creators’ work and will respond promptly to valid claims.

We publish images, text, and other content only when we have the necessary licences or permissions. Where we use a third‑party image, we seek to attribute the source. If you find something on our site that you believe infringes your copyright, please get in touch. We will investigate and take appropriate action – usually removal or correction – within five business days.

How do I submit a takedown request?

To submit a takedown request, email copyright@stadtlogik.de with your full name, contact details, a description of the work, the exact URL where it appears, and a statement that you are the rights holder or authorised agent. Provide evidence of ownership if possible.

Include the following information in your email:

  • Your full name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
  • A clear identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
  • The precise URL or location on our site where the material appears.
  • A statement that you have a good‑faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on their behalf.
  • Your electronic or physical signature.

We may ask for additional information to verify your claim. Once we receive a complete request, we will review it and respond within five business days. If the claim is valid, we will remove the material and notify the affected party.

How this works in practice

Imagine a photographer finds one of their images on an article we published about Swedish housing policy. They email copyright@stadtlogik.de with the URL, their contact details, and a link to their original image. Within 24 hours our fact‑checking team, led by Daniela Sauer (Ansvarig för faktagranskning), confirms the image was not properly licensed. We immediately remove the image, replace it with a correctly licensed version, and send a correction notice to the photographer.

We also update the article’s editor and ensure the mistake is logged in our editorial review system. This process applies to text, graphics, video, and any other copyrighted material.

Who is responsible for these decisions?

The editorial team under Chefredaktör Simon Schwarz oversees all takedown processes, supported by Daniela Sauer’s fact‑checking unit and, when needed, our legal advisors. Decisions are made by humans, not automated tools.

Stadtlogik is owned and operated by Stadtlogik Media Ltd., a private company registered in Gibraltar (company number C 92009, Malta Business Registry). Our registered office is Office 9, Business Centre, Valletta, 0000. While our legal entity is based in Malta and Gibraltar, our editorial team works from Sweden and Germany. Any takedown request is treated with the same seriousness regardless of the jurisdiction in which the copyright holder resides.

What about image rights and attribution?

We source images from licensed agencies (e.g. Getty Images, Shutterstock, local Swedish agencies), free‑use repositories with proper attribution, or directly from contributors who grant us permission. Sponsored or commercial imagery is clearly labelled.

If an image appears without correct attribution, or if you believe a licence does not cover the specific use, please contact us. We will correct the attribution or remove the image as appropriate. We also review our image use regularly as part of our editorial policy and fact‑checking procedures.
